Edmonton women detained in Syria arrested on terrorism bond on return to Canada

Two Edmonton women were arrested on terrorism peace bonds upon re-entering Canada at the Montreal-Trudeau International Airport Friday.

Helena Carson, 33 and Dina Kalouti, 42 were brought to Alberta for a bail hearing in provincial court and were released with a number of conditions.

They were arrested at the Montreal airport by members of the Federal Policing Integrated National Security Enforcement Team (INSET), according to a news release issued by Alberta RCMP shortly before 8 p.m. July 7.
