Illinois Police arrest suspect in government bomb threats
Illinois State Police arrested a suspect in an April bomb threat to two government buildings.
Police arrested Gabrielle Williams, 23, on Thursday. This came after a weeks-long investigation into the threats via interviews and cell-phone data.
Williams is currently held in the Sangamon County Jail awaiting trial. She remains innocent until a jury deems her guilty.
ISP first learned of the threats on April 22, when the Illinois Department of Human Services alerted the police’s Statewide Terrorism and Intelligence Center. Officials alerted police to a threat at a public aid office and the State Capitol.
