Marinette man charged with terror threats, accused of threatening office with AR-15

A Marinette man faces a charge of making terrorist threats for allegedly threatening to enter a county office with an AR-15.

Bryan Korpal, 38, made an initial court appearance Wednesday, where a $10,000 cash bond was set. He returns to court June 3 for a balance of initial appearance.

According to a news release from Marinette County District Attorney DeShea Morrow, Korpal threatened to come to the Human Services building with an AR-15 on May 9, and “made the sound of racking the slide of a firearm while on the phone with social workers. As a result of Korpal’s statements, the employees located at Marinette County Department of Human Services building were placed on high alert.”
