Amazon employee called in bomb threat to North Haven fulfillment center, police say

An Amazon employee is accused of calling in a bomb threat to his company’s fulfillment center earlier this month, police said.

Michael Pierre, 32, of Bridgeport, is accused of calling in the bomb threat on the night of July 14. Dispatchers received the threat around 11 p.m. and the fulfillment center was evacuated, according to the North Haven Police Department in a Facebook post.

Multiple jurisdictions responded, including members of the regional bomb squad and police dogs who specialize in detecting explosives. Authorities searched the scene and deemed it “clear,” police said.
