Detectives continue search for person related to series of Carroll County mailbox explosions
Detectives are still searching for the person behind a series of mailbox explosions in Carroll County.
People found the debris Sunday in the Manchester and Westminster areas. The State Fire Marshal now needs the public’s help in identifying a suspect.
“We take this very, very seriously, and we’re out there investigating, trying to determine who or how many of these folks did this,” said Master Deputy State Fire Marshal Oliver Alkire.
Along Wentz Road in Manchester, a frame sat with no box on top. A few minutes away, a block of boxes have since been replaced on Traceys Mill Road.
“Our investigators responded to the scene, and they quickly determined that it was the remains of fireworks in each of these mailboxes,” Alkire said.
The person also hit Westminster off Cedar Ridge Road.
