Dubuque man facing Terrorism charges after threat made against Finley Hospital
UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital in Dubuque temporarily went into lockdown for two hours on Wednesday after receiving an “external threat” against a specific individual.
A man is facing threat of terrorism charges in connection to the incident.
Dubuque Police say that 49-year-old Justin Auman Keene made the threat over the phone.
The hospital said in a statement:
“Due to an external threat targeting a specific individual, UnityPoint Health – Finley Hospital’s campus went on lockdown at approximately 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29 and was subsequently lifted at 1 p.m.
A campus lockdown, which was initiated out of an abundance of caution, is standard protocol within health care facilities in response to a potential emergency situation that threatens the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.”
