Tucson men sentenced for conspiring to join ISIS
The Justice Department announced that two Tucson men have been sentenced for their efforts to join the ISIS terrorist organization.
27-year-old Ahmed Mahad Mohamed and 26-year-old Abdi Yemeni Hussein are both citizens of Somalia who were living in Tucson at the time of the offense.
They eventually pleaded guilty to conspiracy to provide material support and resources to a designated foreign terrorist organization.
Mohamed was sentenced to 132 months in prison and Hussein was sentenced to 96 months in prison, followed by lifetime terms of supervised release.
