Man arrested in connection with hate crime captured on video, Dallas police say

A man has been arrested for a hate crime that was captured in a now viral video, the Dallas Police Department announced Saturday afternoon.

Dallas PD said on March 26, Philip De La Rosa, 34, was seen making anti-Semitic threats against a victim, which was posted to social media and reported to police.

Police said De La Rosa was identified and located in Plano, where officers arrested him. He has been charged with terroristic threat – a class B misdemeanor, police said.

“The department takes every report of a hate crime seriously and will pursue justice for every victim,” Dallas PD said in a new release.

The investigation is ongoing.
