Teenager admits sharing terrorist material online

A teenager has pleaded guilty to sharing Islamic State group (IS) videos and other material online on Telegram and TikTok.

Leo Walby, 19, from Swanley, Kent, admitted six charges of dissemination of a terrorist publication between 10 July and 20 August 2024, when he appeared at the Old Bailey on Wednesday.

He also admitted a failing to comply with a Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act notice.

Judge Anthony Leonard KC adjourned sentencing until 9 May and remanded Walby into custody.

Five of the charges relate to terrorist material on Telegram including a video entitled Don’t I Only Die Once, and other IS propaganda.
