Man arrested after making terrorist threats at Eldon wedding venue

One man was taken into custody on Monday for alleged threats and property damage in Miller County.

The Miller County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a reported disturbance at an Eldon, Mo., wedding venue around 3:14 a.m.

The reporting party claimed that Billy Joe Hicks, 22, of Lebanon, Mo., had vandalized the property and caused an estimated $4,000 in damges before threatening to come back and shoot people.

Court document show that Hicks had texted several threatening messages to one victim following the initial property damage.

Deputies reported seeing texts from the man, including “Never mess with me and my sleep,” and “As soon as I get out, I’m shooting.”
