Frederick County man charged with making explosives

A Thurmont man was charged with possessing and manufacturing explosive devices on Monday, according to the Thurmont Police Department.

Police say officers received reports on May 26 of a man walking on Locust Drive, where explosive devices were found in the roadway.

Officers executed a search warrant on the man’s house, where explosive devices and related items were found and seized.

John Cintron, 34, was arrested and charged with three counts of manufacturing/possessing a destructive device and five counts of reckless endangerment.
