Kentucky church shooting suspect identified
The gunman officials say killed two women and wounded three others in Kentucky on Sunday has been identified as 47-year-old Guy House, according to the Lexington Police Department.
Lexington Police Chief Lawrence Weathers said House shot a Kentucky State Police trooper on Terminal Drive at Blue Grass Airport at 11:36 a.m. The trooper pulled over a vehicle over that House was in along with other occupants after receiving a license plate reader alert in the area.
“One of the individuals presented a firearm and shot our trooper, which resulted in very serious injuries,” Kentucky State Trooper spokesperson Matt Sudduth said in a news briefing Monday afternoon. The other occupants of the vehicle were not involved in the shooting and did not flee the scene, Sudduth added.
