Man charged with threatening Emmitsburg children’s camp, assaulting deputies
An Emmitsburg man has been charged with threatening violence against a children’s camp being held in the town, and with assaulting two deputies when they responded to the incident.
Benjamin Dewees, 28, of the 200 block of DePaul Street, was arrested on charges of assault and disturbing the peace. He was held without bail after a hearing Wednesday in Frederick County District Court.
Online court records did not list a lawyer to represent Dewees on Wednesday.
