FBI’s ‘most wanted animal rights terrorist’ fights extradition to US
Daniel Andreas San Diego spent 21 years on the run as one of America’s most wanted terrorists before he was finally identified by his distinctive tattoos, a court was told.
The IT expert was described as “armed and dangerous” after bombings in California in 2003 which were linked to a notorious British animal rights group.
San Diego was discovered ten months ago living under a false name in a remote home 5,000 miles from California, in north Wales.
When he appeared in the dock at Westminster magistrates’ court on Monday to fight extradition, the only sign of his alleged danger were four security officers who surrounded him behind the glass security screen.
