Lynchburg man charged with terrorism after threatening Michigan mosque

ABC 13 is learning more information about a Lynchburg man facing terrorism charges, accused of also threatening a place of worship in Michigan.

Police said it is an active and ongoing investigation, so they are not able to comment. However, court documents are revealing some disturbing allegations.

32-year-old Macin Horstemeyer is currently being held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail without bond.

He is facing charges for threatening the public, making threats online, soliciting terrorism and conspiring to commit an act of terrorism.

According to a criminal complaint, the latest incident happened while he was in custody last week.
