Man charged over arson at McGregor’s Black Forge Inn and terrorist offences

A 23-year-old man charged in connection with an attack in Dublin city centre in July, during which a garda was stabbed, has been further charged with arson and terrorist offences.

Abdullah Khan, whose address cannot be published by order of the court, was brought before Cloverhill District Court today to face five additional charges.

Two of those charges are alleged terrorist offences and relate to an attack on a garda on 29 July in Dublin city centre and an arson attack at Conor McGregor’s pub, The Black Forge Inn in Drimnagh, four days earlier, on 25 July this year.

The court was told that the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has directed that Mr Khan be tried before the Special Criminal Court.

Two gardaí gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution at Cloverhill District Court.
