Alabama teen indicted on terrorism, attempted murder charges held without bond, faces max of life in prison

A Limestone County judge ruled for an Athens teen facing terrorism and attempted murder charges in a plot to kill Athens High School faculty and students to be held in jail without bond at a Wednesday bond hearing.

Carson Butler, 18, is charged with one count of terrorism, two counts of attempted murder, and two counts of conspiracy to commit murder.

The judge also ruled that Butler could face a maximum of life in prison if convicted.
