BG man arrested after threatening mass shooting at mall
Police arrested a Bowling Green man early Friday after suspecting him of posting a threat online to carry out a mass shooting at Greenwood Mall on Black Friday. Jay Gill, 33, was arrested by the Bowling Green Police Department on charges of second-degree terroristic threatening, tampering with physical evidence and second-degree disorderly conduct.
According to an arrest citation, BGPD received multiple calls Thursday night reporting a post on Reddit that is said to have contained the threat. “11/28/25 On Black Friday I’m shooting up the greenwood mall I recommend not going bc it will be a blood bath. I’m killing everyone in site. Thank you good riddance,” the post stated.
