Cocke County [TN] juvenile charged with threats of mass violence after investigation involving FBI

A juvenile living in Cocke County has been charged after they were accused of making threats of mass violence against a school outside the county, officials said.

The Cocke County Sheriff’s Office announced the charges were filed following a joint investigation with the Tennessee Office of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

CCSO said there is no direct threat against any student, staff member or school building within Cocke County and that the school district involved in the threat has been notified.
