Florida high school student arrested after threatening ‘Columbine pt2’

A Brandon High School student was arrested after investigators say he threatened to “commit Columbine pt2.”

Hillsborough County school resource deputies responded Thursday after receiving a tip that a 15-year-old boy posted the threat on social media.

Investigators interviewed the student at the school and said he admitted to writing the post, adding that it was intended as “dark humor.”

No weapons were found with the student or on campus.

“We want young people to understand that posts like this have serious consequences and will always be investigated,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister.
