Likely AI-generated bomb threat to FL private schools deemed ‘non-credible’

The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating after almost a half dozen Tallahassee schools received what law enforcement is calling “a non-credible” and possibly AI-generated bomb threat.

Both the Tallahassee Police Department and Leon County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the calls occurred and appeared to be targeting private or charter schools.

“I know that on our end and TPD, we don’t have anything to substantiate the claim. We are being told its possible AI and are treating it as non-credible,” LCSO spokesperson Javonni Hampton told the Democrat.

A spokesperson for TSC confirmed, Tallahassee Collegiate Academy was one of the schools that received a threatening call.
