1 dead after ramming power substation outside Las Vegas

One person is dead after he rammed a power substation outside Boulder City, sources told the 8 News Now Investigators.

Metro police confirmed the vehicle rammed the power substation near the community, which is located about 25 miles from Downtown Las Vegas. The exact location where the incident happened was not known. Several solar facilities and substations are located throughout the area.

There was no indication of any further threat.

During his annual State of the Department address, Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill alluded to a recent counterterrorism threat that occurred Thursday night.
