Greensboro man allegedly used explosives to destroy, trees; $500K bond set
A 21-year-old Greensboro man has been charged with possession of weapons of mass destruction, including improvised explosive devices, and is being held on a $500,000 bond, court records show.
Jon Ksor faces five counts of possessing a weapon of mass destruction. Authorities said the alleged offenses occurred Jan. 29, 2026, and involved Ksor allegedly using an improvised explosive device multiple times. He was arrested two days later by Greensboro police.
Court documents also allege Ksor “maliciously damaged trees belonging to another using an explosive or incendiary device,” including several trees in the area.
The case is being handled in the North Carolina General Court of Justice, District Court Division. Additional details about the circumstances of the alleged offenses have not been released.
