Third victim of Pawtucket ice rink shooting has died, police say

A third victim has died from gunshot wounds suffered at the Dennis M. Lynch Arena on Feb. 16, the Pawtucket police announced on Wednesday, Feb. 25.

Gerald Dorgan, 75, was the father of Rhonda Dorgan, who was shot to death at the ice rink by her former spouse, Robert Dorgan, also known as Roberta Esposito. The shooter also killed the couple’s son Aidan Dorgan in what police said was a targeted attack during a high school hockey game and Senior Night celebration.

Two other victims, Rhonda Dorgan’s mother, Linda Dorgan, and a family friend, Thomas Geruso, also were shot at the game. As of Tuesday, Feb. 24, both remained in the hospital, where their condition was listed as serious, a spokesman for the city, Chris Hunter, said earlier Wednesday before the evening announcement of Gerald Dorgan’s death.
