Zoo Miami reopens following 3 days of bomb threats; Miami International Mall also targeted
Zoo Miami has reopened after it received bomb threats for three days in a row, prompting them to close their doors, and it wasn’t the only South Florida location that was targeted over the weekend.
7News cameras on Monday morning captured a heavy police presence at the entrance of the zoo, which is located at 12400 SW 152nd St. in Southwest Miami-Dade, as parkgoers made their way inside.
“Yeah, I don’t think anything is going to happen,” said Julie McGary. “If it does, we just go, I guess.”
The zoo reopened its doors at 10 a.m. Officials advised parkgoers to expect increased security measures in place and additional protocols.
