Arson at Tesla New Orleans caught on camera, NOFD seeks person of interest
Surveillance video was released Thursday, showing the moment when what appears to be a Molotov cocktail was thrown at the Tesla New Orleans Service Center on Tchoupitoulas Street. New Orleans fire officials released two videos and asked for the public’s help finding the person of interest in Tuesday morning’s arson attack.
Surveillance video shows a person with long hair, a t-shirt, and dark jeans carrying something in their hand, walking on a nearby street.
Video captured around 2:54 a.m. that morning shows a fireball erupting after an object was thrown. Photos taken by WWL Louisiana on Wednesday show smoke damage to the service center’s front door. No one was injured in the arson.
Anyone with information is asked to email info@crimestoppersgno.org or call 504-837-8477. Calls can also be directed to NOFD at 504-658-4770.
