Bullhead City man arrested on terrorist threat-related charges accused of making explosive device

Bullhead City police arrested a man on charges related to making terrorist threats, after he was allegedly constructing an explosive device and made statements mentioning the Laughlin Bridge, according to Bullhead City Police.

Police arrested Bryan Christopher Lee Chambers, 23, of Bullhead City Thursday on charges of making terrorist threats and possession of dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia.

On Wednesday, the Yuma Prison Investigation Division alerted Bullhead City police regarding a recorded phone conversation between an inmate and a family member, identified as Chambers.

The audio prison transcripts revealed conversations between the inmate and Chambers discussing hiding firearms and drugs prior to the inmate’s release from prison and probation officers visiting their home.

The conversations referenced an explosive device and included statements made by Chambers mentioning the Laughlin Bridge.

A temporary felony warrant was issued for Chambers for making terrorist threats. Police began surveilling Chambers and on Thursday around 5:30 a.m., Bullhead City police arrested him in the 2500 block of Highway 95.
