Man wanted by FBI in Florida for arson, terroristic activity arrested in Tennessee

A man wanted by the FBI was arrested in Lebanon after the Lebanon Police Department was alerted by the SafeNet license plate reader system.

The man was wanted by the FBI in Jacksonville on an arson charge that had been flagged as terroristic activity.

“Because our LPR system does not track a vehicle’s every movement, A-Shift officers canvassed a large area before locating the stolen vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 109,” LPD said.

LPD officers conducted a traffic stop and took the driver into custody. Officers were able to confirm he was the subject of the nationwide extradition warrant.
