‘Chucky-style’ mask suspect accused of threats in Philadelphia arrested in Las Vegas

A man accused of threatening people in Philadelphia while wearing a “Chucky-style” mask has been arrested in Las Vegas, authorities said.

Zymire Hughes, 22, was wanted for terrorizing citizens in Center City Philadelphia. The USMS Nevada Violent Offender Task Force arrested Hughes Tuesday in Las Vegas just before 5 p.m. in the 6500 block of Boulder Highway, near East Russell Road.

Police previously said Hughes had an active arrest warrant and may have already fled Pennsylvania.

He is being held in the Clark County Detention Center awaiting extradition back to Pennsylvania.

Police said the suspect chased a 40-year-old woman in the early morning on Aug. 12 and asked her if she was “ready to die.”
