Suspect arrested for planned “mass stabbing” at CA high school
Fresno police arrested a suspect who allegedly planned to commit a mass stabbing at Duncan Polytechnical High School on Sep. 11.
Police said a student potentially stopped the attack by speaking up.
The big picture: The student who spoke up about the potential attack sent a message to friends.
“There is going to be a mass stabbing at Duncan High School on September 11th, this is not a joke, or a hoax,” the message reads. “My friend who goes to Duncan is planning an attack on Duncan for unknown reasons other than how he doesn’t like people. PLEASE believe me, do not go to school September 11th if you go to Duncan.”
That message was shared with a concerned parent, who sent it to the Fresno Police Department, Nexstar reported.
Suspect arrested: Police arrested the suspect on Wednesday after reviewing the message.
