Williamston man charged after mass-violence threat on ECU campus

A Williamston man is behind bars after warrants say he made mass-violence threats on the East Carolina University campus.

Warrants show that 19-year-old Mason Hardison was arrested by the East Carolina University Police Department on Saturday.

According to documents, Hardison was inside the Subway restaurant on the ECU campus when he made statements to multiple students and staff.

Documents show that he stated out loud in anger that he was “gonna shoot up the whole police force” and “if you guys don’t leave alone, I’m gonna do something to you guys.”
