2 employees killed, 1 hurt in workplace shooting in Virginia; suspect dead: Police
An employee allegedly opened fire in an act of “workplace violence” in Virginia, killing two coworkers and wounding a third, before dying from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, authorities said.
The shooting unfolded Wednesday morning at United Rentals in Manassas, a city about 30 miles outside of Washington, D.C., according to Manassas police.
“There was some kind of altercation,” and the suspect, Marvin Grant, “pulled a pistol from his waistband and shot the three victims,” Manassas Police Chief Douglas Keen said at a news conference.
Keen said authorities do not know a motive, but he noted that Grant allegedly said, “three people are going to die.”
