Greenwich student who threatened special needs program said he would ‘Columbine’ school, police say
An 18-year-old student is facing charges after he threatened to “Columbine” a school last month, police said.
Duglas E. Alcaide, of Greenwich, is charged with second-degree threatening, according to Greenwich police.
Officers responded to a report of Alcaide’s threat, made in reference to the 1999 Colorado school massacre, on Oct. 27, police said. He then was taken into custody and charged, police said.
Police said Alcaide’s threat was aimed toward students and staff members at the Community Connections Program, an adults special needs program operated by the local school system.
