NJ nurse arrested for 2 arsons, threatening coworkers on Thursday, officials say
A New Jersey nurse was arrested after setting fire to his apartment and to his car outside of where he worked on Thursday, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.
Officers with the Gloucester Township Police Department were called to the Cherrywood Apartment on the 1200 block of Little Gloucester Road around 11:52 a.m. on June 4 for reports of a fire, officials said.
The fire was discovered inside the apartment of 25-year-old Taquan Ayers and was extinguished before it could spread to other units, police said.
As they investigated, officials said that they got ahold of surveillance video of Ayers that showed up holding a gasoline can at the apartment complex just before the fire.
About 10 minutes later, officials with the Winslow Township police and fire departments were called to the Oaks Integrated Care located on the 100 block of Berlin-Cross Keys Road after an arson was reported, police said.
