Police release video of the suspect vehicle in Jewish girls school shooting, as rally calls for strength, solidarity

Video footage of the suspect vehicle in a weekend shooting at a Jewish girl’s elementary school has been released by police, following a rally where speakers urged for strength and solidarity.

Toronto police say two suspects were inside a vehicle when they fired shots at Bais Chaya Mushka Elementary School just before 5 a.m. on Saturday. No one was hurt, and the school was empty at the time of the incident, but there was damage to the building.

Video taken around 4:50 a.m. shows a dark-coloured vehicle stopping in front of the school and slowly reversing alongside the curb. Police said no gunshots were heard in the area at the time.

Investigators said it’s too early to conclude if the shooting was hate-motivated, but politicians are condemning it as an antisemitic act.
