Man is arrested for allegedly placing an explosive device near home in Rancho Cucamonga
A man was arrested for allegedly placing an explosive device near a residence in Rancho Cucamonga, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
The incident occurred on June 3 at 4:36 p.m., when deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to the 9300 block of Lomita Drive regarding reports of an explosive device found near the roadway. Nearby residents were evacuated as a precaution.
The device was disarmed and removed by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Bomb/Arson personnel. Residents in the evacuated area were allowed back into their homes at about 10:20 p.m.
