FBI raids across region lead to arrest of 14 people, possible charges filed remain unclear

Multiple FBI raids happened across the region Wednesday, leading to the arrests of more than a dozen people.

Maryland state and local police assisted federal agents in what the FBI said were court-ordered searches.

One of the raids happened in Annapolis.

The FBI confirmed its agents conducted several takedowns. In Annapolis, one of the raids took place around 6 a.m. just off Clay Street, blocks away from the Maryland State House.

Neighbors told 11 News Investigates they heard a loud boom and something striking a door. That’s what woke them up.

“Noises and people saying don’t move and get down, and running,” a neighbor said. “I thought just to stay down, think about myself first. Then, I saw my mom, and I felt it was OK to get up.”
