Man behind social media account covering fire responses arrested for setting a fire

Accused of setting a fire in Maryland and then filming firefighters’ response for social media views, a Calvert County man was arrested for arson on Friday.

Joshua Christian-Stanley Jackson from Prince Frederick, was arrested in nearby Charles County. The 21-year-old, known for posting videos and pictures of fires to social media, was charged with starting a fire at an empty commercial building in Newburg, Md. on Feb. 22.

Firefighters said they were able to put out the fire that burned along Crain Highway within minutes and said nobody had been hurt in the blaze.

Later, a state fire marshal investigation concluded that the flames had been set intentionally and began to suspect Jackson.
