Teen detained after online bomb threat prompts evacuation of TN church

An online bomb threat has prompted a church to be evacuated, according to the Murfreesboro Police Department.

MPD and Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue responded to New Vision Church investigating after an online bomb threat was made against the church.

The church was evacuated as MPD worked on verifying the credibility of the threat. Police have since determined the threat was not credible and given the “all clear” to return inside the church.

MPD said a teen has been detained and is being questioned in connection to the threat.
