Israel announces new list of top regime targets in ‘unprecedented’ attack on Tehran
Israel has launched a new, “unprecedented attack” targeting the regime in Tehran and “its repressive apparatus”, Defence Minister Israel Katz said on Monday.
According to reports from Iran, police command headquarters, state-run broadcaster IRIB and Evin prison have been hit in the strikes amid the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict, now in its second week.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump claimed the US strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites — Fordo, Isfahan and Natanz — over the weekend inflicted “monumental damage” on Iran’s nuclear programme, declaring “the biggest damage took place far below ground level.”
US officials say assessments of the true extent of the damage are still under way. The UN’s nuclear watchdog says the extent of the damage is unclear.
