Manhunt continues for 2nd day for N.J. man wanted on charges in Jan. 6 Capitol riot

The search continues Thursday for a New Jersey man the FBI says is wanted in connection with the riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Gregory Yetman fled Wednesday morning when authorities were attempting to execute a federal warrant in Helmetta, a borough in Middlesex County, according to statements from the FBI and Jamesburg Police Department.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are involved in the ongoing search for Yetman, who was enlisted in the National Guard during his alleged activities on Jan. 6, 2021. Later Thursday, the FBI announced a $10,000 reward for information leading to his capture.

Yetman was a military police officer in the New Jersey Army National Guard from September 2008 to March 2022, according to Heather J. Hagan, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Army.

He deployed to Afghanistan from September 2012 to May 2013, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, from June 2015 to March 2016, according to military records.
