Carson City man facing terrorism charges after being arrested with explosives
A Carson City man is facing terrorism charges related to building explosives.
Deputies say they became aware of the situation when they conducted a traffic stop Saturday afternoon on a car driven by 50-year-old Christopher Gorham.
A search of his car turned up drug paraphernalia and an explosive device.
The Tahoe-Douglas Bomb Squad was called in, and subsequently detonated that device at the scene.
Deputies say a later search of Gorham’s apartment on College Parkway resulted in them finding more drugs, drug paraphernalia, and explosive materials.
