Vermont man charged with making terroristic threats at a Minnesota college back in court

A U-32 graduate was in a Minnesota courtroom today trying to get rid of felony charges after being accused of planning a mass casualty event.

Vermont’s Waylon Kurts is attempting to clear his name on the two charges that remain from his arrest in 2023 as a student at St. Olaf College, including a felony of terroristic threats.

Authorities accused Kurts of planning an attack after a cache was found in his dorm containing knives, empty ammunition boxes, and other items.

The judge took the case under advisement and scheduled a settlement conference for December 11th, but also picked a trial date for January 6th.
