North Carolina man charged with communicating threats, impersonating officer

A Greene County man was arrested and charged with communicating threats after an investigation by multiple law enforcement offices.

Social media posts made by William Nicolas McKeever, 44, of Walstonburg, prompted law enforcement to investigate.

They said some of the posts were threats and in some, McKeever claimed affiliation with various U.S. federal government agencies.

Deputies stopped McKeever in his vehicle Sunday night, Dec. 29 in Snow Hill. McKeever was wearing a bulletproof vest and holster but did not have a weapon. He told deputies he was a law enforcement officer and did not initially comply with orders.
