Army soldier’s explosion linked to PTSD, not terrorism, say detectives

Detectives have revealed new details in the case of the 37-year-old active U.S. Army soldier, Mathew Livelsberger suggesting a possible motive behind a New Year’s Day explosion. Livelsberger reportedly left written grievances before the incident.

“What you can tell by looking at this is that PTSD forms a highly decorated United States currently serving military individual,” said LVMPD Sheriff Kevin McMahill.

Authorities discovered a cellphone in the Cybertruck involved in the explosion. After examining the evidence, they found two notes describing Livelsberger’s reasoning for the act.

“He says fellow service members, veterans, and all Americans, time to wake up! We are being led by weak and feckless leadership who only serve to enrich themselves,” detectives said. “Those letters go on to explain a variety of other grievances and issues, some political and some personal,” said LVMPD Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren.
