Suspects charged in alleged Michigan Halloween terror plot eyed attack on Chicago Pride Parade: Docs
Chicago’s Pride Parade last year was eyed as a possible place for a terror attack.
Court documents revealed suspects in a Michigan terror plot posted in a social media platform for ISIS supporters and mentioned conducting a possible attack on the 2024 Chicago Pride Parade.
The post said “we will be attacking the Chicago pride parade with a backpack.”
The details were included in an amended criminal complaint filed against suspects in a Halloween terror plot in Michigan.
The suspects were arrested before any attack happened. Those suspects were formally indicted this week.
Investigators are now saying they believe those suspects had been scouting possible attacks on the LGBTQ+ community for some time ahead of the Michigan incident, and had looked at Chicago.
