Macomb County man bound over on all charges after TikTok videos allegedly threaten school mass shooting

Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that 20-year-old Joel Edwards was bound over to stand trial on all charges related to an alleged plan to attack a school.

On Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, Edwards’s preliminary exam was held in the 40th District Court in St. Clair Shores.

At the conclusion of the hearing, the judge ruled there is sufficient evidence to bind Edwards over for trial on all counts.

Edwards faces the following charges:

Using a computer to commit a crime is a 10-year felony.
