Man charged with attempted arson after setting bag on fire inside Miami Beach PD station: Cops

A man accused of walking into the Miami Beach Police station and setting a bag on fire was arrested on Monday.

Justo Monteagudo, 68, was charged with attempted second-degree arson.

According to Miami Beach Police, Monteagudo walked into the station and had a white Burger King bag in his hand.

An arrest report said he told officers that he wanted to avoid the cold weather outside, and they asked him if there was food in the bag. After telling them there was, officers told Monteagudo he could finish his food at the station, but would then have to leave.
