Sarasota quadruple murder victims identified, linked to double homicide in South Florida

A shooting that left four victims and the suspect dead in a Sarasota gated community was linked to a separate homicide in Florida, authorities said.

At 12:24 p.m. Tuesday, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office got a call about a man being shot at a home in the Amberlea neighborhood near Proctor and McIntosh Roads.

Upon arrival, deputies found neighbors attempting CPR on the male victim. The neighbors informed deputies that the victim’s wife was possibly inside the home.

The male victim died shortly after being transferred to the care of the Sarasota County Fire Department.
