Missouri man charged in two bomb threats in Gloversville Saturday morning
A Missouri man is in custody in Fulton County, accused of making two anonymous bomb threats in Gloversville.
At about 7:30 a.m. Saturday, members of the Gloversville Police Department were dispatched to an anonymous bomb threat at Antonucci Foods, on S. Main St. in the City of Gloversville. The response to this initial call resulted in the Gloversville Police Department contacting the New York State Police, to assist in the evacuation, and search, of the location.
Approximately one hour later, at about 8:28 a.m., while still on scene at Antonucci Foods, members of the department were dispatched to another anonymous bomb threat, this time at Wal-Mart, on S. Kingsboro Ave. The response to this call also resulted in the City of Gloversville Police Department contacting the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office to assist in the evacuation, and search, of that location.
A member of the City of Gloversville Police Department Detective Division used specialized investigative techniques which he had been trained on, to identify a single person of interest for both threats. The member of the Detective Division collaborated closely with members of the Patrol Division to contact the person of interest, Eric A. Bowman, a 41-year-old male from Saint Joseph Missouri, who was visiting a person in the City of Gloversville.
